The English Language thread
« on: January 19, 2010, 10:52:12 am »
Many of you, in fact most of you, speak English as a second language so i thought a thread where you can post your questions to help with learning or homework would be a good idea. Means all the questions on grammar, spelling etc can be in one place to make things easier for you all.

:)

Philippines (my home country) is the 3rd largest English-speaking country in the world (1st is US, 2nd is UK). So don't hesitate to ask me as well. :)

Edit: 5th lol. But we get the accent right, unlike those Indians and Nigerians :L

This does a good job of explaining it:

http://web.ku.edu/~edit/whom.html

why sometimes word  at end is with ' but not with g
Like:

Doin' / Doing

If so then it is just slang. Normally used on verbs.
