"In an accident two racers died"

but sometimes you see.. racer' or racer's.. or racers' (not in this sentence, but just for example)

if you're using it as a plural then it'd just be racers.
if you're using it as a (singular) possessive then you'd say "the racer's car" (unless it ends with s, then you could say maurits' car or maurits's car, i'm not too sure what the correct one is because people disagree on which one is correct)
the real fun starts when you combine plural + possessive so for a car that belongs to a group of racers you'd say "the racers' car" or on the server when it says all racers' health has been restored.
