Still reminds me a bit of our San Andreas where we also have the opportunity to pimp rides and that kind of stuff :)

Inb4 hydraulics are only available for 6 cars only in MP, and cost over $100,000 to make the car bounce.

Exactly what I was expecting, not even mad about it tho.

The aren't really a lot of cars suitable for lowrider customization and if it would be cheap, it would be no challenge to get the parts, get boring in 2 hours and R* needs to keep the money flowing so people actually spend it and not hoard it.

Let me tell you a story.

I had a Voodoo. I spent literally hours searching for one which had a worn out all over rust-red color. This is not very common, since the Voodoo has a 2 tone color setting, so getting one with an all over paint job is kinda rare, but getting one with a certain color as all over paint job is nearly impossible. You can't just get one and paint it in red, this changes the gloss and texture.

I finally found one some weeks ago. I spent around 120k on tuning, but left the color untouched, to get that special "rat look". Nice chrome rims, dark tinted windows, but fucked up rusty (non-glossy) red paint job. Awesome car. Even random players kept asking about the car because they hadn't really noticed the game having such a "lowrider" model they liked the concept of a rat-look tuning.

Then the lowrider update came. And I drove said Voodoo into Benny's garage.

I wanted the lowrider option, and ONLY the lowrider option, which means the hydraulics. I carefully read every info available, evaluated the decision, all info just said "prepares car for lowrider options". Then I spent 240k for the lowrider customization on my already 120k worth car.

Big mistake.

The rusty paint was gone. Suddenly, it had a perfect matte red painting. What. The. Fuck.

To me, the car was ruined. All additional parts looked ridiculous to me, as I wanted a "cool" car, not a "cheap pimp" car. A 12 year old probably likes the flashy cheap bling bling you can attach, but the concept of a rat look lowrider was now impossible. I sold the car. For 100k.

This is the story of "How to burn 260k $ in 10 minutes".

(Although, after this, I bought the Willard Faction and made it into a lowrider, spending around 850k. At least, now I have a nice car to use when looking for a Voodoo again...)

so, intentional or not, they made the driving even more arcadey and grippy :(

(watch past the half of the video to see what i'm talking about.)

After playing for a bit (i'm still at level 29), I'm kinda dissapointed in GTA:O, it isn't bad, but it could have been so much more with less retarded design choices and bit more development quality they could totally afford.

EDIT: Tried it again myself, and it's not as noticable as i would have thought, comet and dominator are still fun to drift. It probably affects people with analog controls way more than it affects keyboard users.
