Yeah I decided to go with a better CPU rather than graphics and a nice laptop to look at, if I went with total performance I could have chose Acer but their laptops are quite ugly. This thing plays 1080p YouTube videos and some light gaming just perfect :)

mine is quite nice by looks if u ask me
not top of the class, but fingerprints or scratches will never bother me, and it doesn't look cheap like cheap asus does.

and one thing i found out: if you got for better cpu, go for intel. AMD is anything, but fast.
kind of shock me how my grandpa's intel dual core 1.6ghz almost matches my cpu performance(newer one tho), still GPU is much more worthy for gaming.

That is quite nice actually. I looked at that one but didn't want to stay with AMD anymore.

* snoops is now an Intel fanboy

acer offers almost same case for intel too, with few trivial changes, never saw any with dedicated video card tho.
not that it matters anymore, hp is better quality anyway.

I made sure to go with lifetime warranty too. Most likely won't be able to play the latest games, well apart from indie type games so this will last me a few years for what I want it to do. Glad I sold my PC and went for a laptop. People told me, Andy that's a bad investment to sell something so powerful for something less powerful, not that they understood my reasoning for it :L no need for so much power when you don't use it

Well I haven't done this in a while. Not long recently put this together:

Operating System: Windows 7 x64 Home Premium

CPU : AMD A6-3670k 3.4ghz (4 cores 4 threads)

Ram: 4GB DDR3 Crucial Balistix Elite 1600mhz 8-8-8-23

Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-A55m DS2 FM1

Graphics: BenQ G2255 (1920x1080@60Hz) AMD Radeon HD 7850 1000/1314

Hard Drive: 2TB WDC Caviar Green

CPU Cooler: Arctic Freezer Pro 64 (old but still good these days)

Gaming case: CiT Vantage

Quite honestly, this AMD CPU for £70 paired with a good graphics card will play any game maxed out, even Battlefield 3.
