[MAF]Cromiell:
Wooo just tested GTA IV. Can finally play on maxed out settings with not less than 40 FPS :L
[MAF]Snoopy:
Intel 3570k
HD 7850
[MAF]Karlis:
lol the apu lived a really short life :(
[MAF]Snoopy:
ahh no I still have it lol. I just can't decide wheather to go for a i5 3570k, fx 6300, or fx 8320 because I want a HD 7950 and I don't know if my 3670k will hold me back, even a 7870 I am worried about. I know more money should go intro graphics cards but I can't help worry lol. Although I was able to max any game out including crysis, and battlefield 3 at over 40fps with the 3670k CPU part only on a 7850.
My second 7850 died on me, I think it was the shitty brand I had. VTX edition :/ amazing APU though! Been playing a lot of FIFA 13 with it, no AA but max settings at 40fps.
On a budget of £800 but I only want to spend about £300- £350
[MAF]Karlis:
on the one hand, a well balanced system i5 and lower gfx card would be better, as the higher offerings are usually aimed at 1600p/triple setups anyway, and, if you're gpu limited, you can turn the gfx down, but, if you're cpu limited, most likely the game just won't run no matter what (personal experience, when gpu is faster than cpu).
but on the other hand, although the MOAR CORES approach for amd doesn't quite work out yet as their per-core performance is bad, it might change in future as PS4 and most likely XBOX 720 too will have an amd cpu with 8 cores, so developers will finally spend time parallelizing the games, and the crappy ports(read: GTA V) should automatically run well on amd cpu's. Its not that intel will now be slow, it'll still be faster, but probably not that much. it's hard to predict though.
