F1 2013 - Codemasters

First gameplay videos and trailers are released, what are your thoughts on new game?
To me it looks again a bit arcadish, it looks like you're driving on rails and I think they didn't improve much on the gameplay...There are much more new things and options that will be coming in this game, but lets wait and see ...

i never understand why people buy those games each year.
its like a few bugfixes, some small graphics changes and a bit of new data. theres no more difference between last year's game, yet they call it a new one, and people are so excited  :o.

i didn't do a lot of research, this game might not be the case, but this is my rant about a general sports game

I agree. And they still charge £40... all for a couple of extra features.

All these game developers are just greedy now.

...and still there will be bugs that need fix and they'll be fixed like 6 months after release...
I really dont like how they go in arcade way, and I think they really need to stop making these, let other studio make it...

Game developers should concentrate on making games playable and enjoyable again instead of adding features that break some other feature and so on, but then I'm not a game developer so it is probably easier said than done in this day and age. I would still moan if they didn't add features LOL

Mostly i hate the lack of control of the game servers, where u cant do anything really apart from creating game.
Server leader should be able to kick ban players, change tracks and restart races instantly.
F1 races are long so u guys don`t feel that long gaps between races.
But on DIRT3 its really annoying the way u need to wait for the next race to load.
Its like you dont have any control over the game and u need to waste your time to watch them fancy graphics.
Sometimes longer then the race itself.
Creating private game save you from noobs, but for that u need have a quite long list of friends that play.
Not many players play and there`s a lack of communication so its hard to find some friends.

Well the guys that played the game say that graphics are much better, but they don't feel big change in Handling, so we can immediately know what we can expect from that aspect...
They spent like 5months trying to get Classic cars in good shape and trying to make all graphics good for them, but actually they just updated a little bit from 2012 with few animations and few characteristics that will be hard to notice.

They could make 2 options of game like in F1 games from 90's - arcade and simulation , but it seems they're going even more in arcadish way so actually with gamepad they said, will be even faster than with wheel...

And what M4 talked about, ye it would be nice to have private servers, but it would be great if they made dedicated servers smth. like from rfactor, iracing GTR and that stuff..
Its all the same shit and i'm pretty sure im not buying it :D

Still looks arcady. The engine sounds still sound terrible for me. Shame these guys have the licence.

Sounds are very very good after last year changes. Of course don't expect good sound by playing on keyboard. Whatever they do, I'm not gonna buy this game for 4th time.
