A question
[MAF]Snoopy:
If your computer boots up but your monitor displays "no signal" and the monitor light just flashes. Would it be the motherboard at fault? Reason for this question I may have fried something in my PC from putting a sata cable into my motherboard. Tried two different CPUs, four different GPUs, took all all the ram out, reset cmos, everything powers up, CPU cooler, GPU, PSU, monitor, even the lights on my motherboard work along with my SSD light being on.. Just no boot. So would the wild guess be damaged motherboard?
Something short circuited I then smelt burning afterwards. I have the money to replace the motherboard as well.
Also the power on/off switch no longer works, as well as no flashing lights on the keyboard. I have to power my computer off by the PSU switch.
Karlip:
You might of fried your GPU
Er, not the GPU but lemme search a bit, seen something similar

Since I don't have 4 way SLI i wouldn't have been able to fry either of them.

bit strange, i blame smf for that.
anyway about the actual problem, it does sound like a motherboard problem. maybe you discharged some static into the mobo and ruined it. does it beep when you switch it on? (if it usually beeps)
