L.A Noire thread
« on: November 19, 2011, 06:56:57 pm »
Did anybody play it?
I spent today over this game and I have to say from technical point of view it's the worst suckage I ever seen from Rockstar Games. If it's direction of creating (converting) PC games then I'm scare to think about GTA V.

Anybody managed to run it on any details without having lag spikes?
I did but only after putting some command lines so I can play it on highest details with awesome 30 FPS limiter.
Details are rubbish, settings are rubbish couse they offer only Perfomance and Quality steps. Also physic is bad. Wooden fences are solid and cars drive like a toys.
The only thing I like is the main point of game, beeing a detective. It's made in a proper way and I'm having a lot of fun during every investigation.

If you played this already share your experience please. With game as well as technical problems. I know it looks like I'm complaining all the time. Maybe I really do or is there really something to worry about?

One screen from me on highest details possible ehhh...

And I tell it again, consoles generation is killing PC experience.  :blank:

What should I say? They know it well that every game they lately release for PC has got no optimization at all. It's only converting and adding functions.

Mafia II much

Not really, it's totally different :P

I played the game for a while and I have to say it's a lot of fun, if I ignore the things Cromiell mentioned. Also I've read somewhere the gameplay takes around 30 hours, maybe more so that's another plus. Not many games are that long.
In my opinion it's one of the best games of this year even when it's laggy.
You're right Crom, the consoles fuck PC games up, let's hope it won't be forever like that.

Yup... Having fun with gameplay aspect also. I made some edits in command line of the game so now I can run it well. Anyway I have fucking cursor on the screen and mouse sensitivity is bad. Oh dear...

L.A Noire is better optimised than GTA IV
recorded with fraps @ 30fps and i dont feel like lagging, but GTA IV lagging even @ 50fps

when you turn single core rendering on of course there will be more cores to record stuff...
