Much like in GTA IV, botth are programmed to drive agressively but the taxi drivers in IV are slower.

I think it is designed to act like the Up Down Left Right arrows on the keyboard etc. The actual image drawn on the phone screen is just a mock-up of the phone OS they have made (that's why you don't see e-mails listed on phone when he goes into e-mails).

If you are using mods in GTA 5, you should probably be careful. There are already reports of mods having keyloggers in them, see the following link for details:
