Same for me, seriously considering buying a PS3, and I'm sure the overall sales of PS3 will rise again just because of GTA V.

I bought a PS3 (and TV!) for GTAV. Worth every penny.

(From my experience GTAV runs smoother on PS3 than GTAIV does on XBOX!)

Just bought a PS3 500 GB incl. GTA V for 325 euros. My first console ever, and this just because of Rockstar being a dick and keeping silent about the pc version...

I wish it was released on PC :/ while the game looks fantastic for a console game, it is rather ugly compared to PC games. No anti aliasing, textures are blurry and it's 720p... not to mention the amount of pop in....shame.

Here's my setup :) I finally fixed my RRoD xbox. Anyone wanna post theirs?

Did you follow R*'s advice?

They said install disc one onto a flash drive, and don't install disc two at all. That minimises the pop-in.

Having put up with this kind of nonsense drove me to buy a PS3, and I don't regret it at all, in fact I should have bought a PS3 to start with.

It's installed onto a 20 GB HDD, my xbox is a launch day xbox, it has already gotten a RRoD which I fixed Friday. Not expecting great performance off it. Is a flash drive faster than a HDD? And yeah I didn't install the play disc.

EDIT: Hmm, well apparently you can install the play disc to a USB flash drive and the install disc to the HDD, improves performance and less noise coz the disc isn't spinning, interesting.

I just love PS3 lol, almost all the game gets installed in the hard drive, disc is there just for the radio (when I turn off radio it barely makes noise). Have not seen any lag or anything, cant be smoother (maybe with a $3000 PC but cba). Anyway don't want to make a war out of this thread heh. Game is brilliant, just climbed chiliad in a $15000 modified pickup hehe.
I would much rather be hated for what I am than loved for something that I'm not
