To all the people that think you couldn't go beyond certain points on the map:

Rockstar:
  "A bold new direction in open-world freedom"
  " largest and most ambitious game Rockstar has yet created"

Plus, if they show planes in the trailer - it means there WILL be planes.

and the only imaginable map border when you have aircraft is the sea one like you see in SA.

Well they could just surround LS in ocean, although Rockstar have a reputation for making their games' stories fit together almost perfectly and it'd be really hard for them to explain two whole missing cities.

I just bought a PS3 few days ago. Finally I have a chance to play GTA IV but I was wondering if its worth spending money on it (since I have heard so much about the quality of it; as a GTA game is not so great ?) or should I wait for GTA V instead?

What would you advise?

I have to say, although the opposite is true for all the other GTAs: I really prefer the way the console version behaves to the PC version of GTAIV. I have played on a friend's (really powerful) computer and there is no comparison. 

I am hoping GTAV PC is less of an afterthought so I can enjoy it on PC too.

But there is no argument: I will be an owner of GTAV, and probably every GTA after it.

i bet they even don't know the deal with IV engine, not talking about V...
if someone will do the multiplayer, then it will be MTA team, they have done quite alot for the IV engine,
but as there's alrdy new game scheduled they discontinued MTA:IV(as well known as MTA orange).
there was few videos of IV mta on yt, but as its trashed they got removed.

in any case building a community already is rather stupid...

it will work only if V will still use RAGE, ofc.
