SA:MP is all about instant gaming. Making players wait to download a custom IMG file when they want to join a server (ie a long wait period) is not going to happen. That is why it is up to server owners to distribute their own files to their players.

cos going to a website and downloading through a rapidshare link (probably what'll happen for most of the servers) is instant :L

they aren't really server side though, i don't see the point in their method, if they were to give us MTA-like mods, they might as well make it download through the client, they just basically made it easier to mod the game, which is cool, but lots of players won't bother.
It'll be great to offer an easy way to easily mod the game with AX friendly mods, different mods from everyone who has contributed so far.
