2,500 races, with that volume of races there will always be a higher statistic for people who play more. There is no way round that. You can't play 20 races a week and expect that to beat someone who plays everyday. It's a losing battle.
Losing battle? Check this:
4) [SC]Phil_Ivey 152305) [Eternal]DaBaR] 14951Phil has
15230 points, and he has finished
2497 races
Eternal follows close-by and has
14951 points, he finished a total of
8507 races
It only took Phil
2497 races to get
15230 points, while it took Eternal approximately
3.5 times as much races just to get a smudge under
15k. The math aside,
Phil's "skill rate" is 30.5% while
Eternal's is just 8.79%. Get what I mean?
Here's the formula I created (after countless shouting and cursing at the monitor) to get the skill rate:skill rate = [current number of highscore points / (number of races finished * 20 e.g. the amount of points you get for getting a top1 in a race)] * 100
SCREENSHOT OF THE FORMULA USING PHIL'S STATS:What boots/Simon/me wants is a separate highscores page that shows the skill rate of each player and ranks them accordingly.
EDIT: added color coding, links and a screenshot for the enlightment of all.
