-video here-

New Formula 1 regulations explained by Red Bull Team (featuring shitloads of CGI)
very cool, but it's painful to think how much it cost them just to make this one video :L

ugh today was the first time I hear the new engine's sound, since here they don't broadcast the tests in jerez or bahrein and I missed the practices. I tried to be optimistic before listening to them but to be honest, they sound like absolute shit, I think my dad's 1.6 car makes a prettier sound. They remind me of the sound of a 90's videogame car, and they are not even loud :(

Such a boring race, I really don't like this F1. With the spins it looks like a kart race and the stupid fuel consumption rules are just ridiculous tbh, cars can't even go fast because they have to save fuel. And this is not even an environmental thing, there are lots of others bigger contaminants than 22 cars working 3 or 4 days twice a month.
I'd like an F1 where drivers can max their cars without caring for stupid fuel consumption or tyre wear (like it used to be in the past lol)

sorry for bitching (again)

@Agus:
I agree. But F1 has also always been a foreportal of to come person cars, and these cars are heading to the electric stuff to save our planet/global warming/ecosystem etc. But I agree that this is not nice anymore, this is not how F1 should be. F1 should be about a bunch of guys pushing the pedals to the limit, not caring about fuel nor tires. About the new engine sound, I can cry, this sounds like a lawn mower chasing a the neighbours cat.. I mean, why do you visit F1 races? Because of the fucking sound and to smell the damn rubber!!

I don't think the race was bad tho, but it wasn't great either. There are huge differences and some aren't even seen yet because of a certain Japanese person who can't drive. I think both Massa and Bottas could finish top3 today.

I managed to watch the race in my hotel in Vienna. The start was ok and there were some interesting parts but I nearly fell asleep in the middle. The sound I think will be good in real life but on tv it sounds pretty shit, especially on board. When you can hear the tyres screech, you know the sound is not good enough for F1. And you are right, it seems like the sound doesn't match the video.

yeah, car sound is just how Ush said
this sounds like a lawn mower chasing a the neighbours cat..
fuel rules are crap, everyone should be able to use their fuel however the hell they want, if they want to use 10% in the first 5 laps and 80% in the rest it's their problem if they run out of fuel in the middle of the race right? A lot of cars will behave like shit in the next few races but should get better, and I don't think that was Kobayashi's fault, and yes, both Massa and Bottas could have been in the podium. Those Williams are brilliantly made.
