Anyone been and have any recommendations on places to see/visit?

I am off there for a long weekend in 3 weeks and the friend i am staying with has admitted she is a shit tour guide.

Brandenburger Tor, Checkpoint Charlie, Holocaust Mahn-mal, Reichstag, Kurfürstendamm(shopping mall).

Never been there, but heard from a friend who has been there these are the things worthy to see.

I want to visit Berlin too one day.. when I have money :L

It's a 6 hours drive from my home by car. But it's also good to do by train.

I went to Berlin to see a friend who lives there so naturally spent time with her. I did do some sightseeing on one day but it was freezing and not nice weather to be walking about.

Besides, the whole point of going was to see my friend. I'll go back again in summer when sightseeing is a bit nicer.
