If 24 hens lay 24 dozens of eggs in 24 days and 6 hens eat 6 kilograms of corn in six days. How many eggs equals a kilogram of corn?    Regards.

Si 24 gallinas ponen 24 docenas de huevos en 24 días y 6 gallinas comen 6 kilogramos de maíz en seis días. ¿Cuántos huevos es igual a un kilogramo de maíz?    Saludos cordiales.

24x = 1728
x = 1728 / 24
x = 72

x = 72 / 6
x = 12

6 hens eat 6 kilograms of corn in 6 days which means 24 hens eat 24 kilograms of corn in 6 days and 24x4=96 kilograms of corn in 24 days. 96 kilograms of corn equals 24 dozens or 288 eggs so each kilogram of corn produces 288 eggs/96kg= 3 eggs.

Thank you mooman. I now understand this, 3 eggs is the correct answer.
