Title: Logical mathematical reasoning/Razonamiento lógico matemático. x6
Post by: AdrenalineXV on April 07, 2015, 04:52:29 pm
Help with 43 and 44 please, what is the value of x? And, what are the steps to solve the 42? I know it is "10" but I do not know how to solve this by writing numbers on the notebook.

42: When I sell a pencil by 12 colones I get 1/5 of the cost. Find the cost.

Regards.

42. cost*6/5=12 so 12*5/6=cost=10
44. The formula is a*b+2 so x is 10

Still thinking for 43.

^true.

43. Although highly unreasonable, you have to add up a specific corner of every circle (add up all the top rights, top lefts etc.). The answer of this is then mirrored in the middle circle. I find 15 by adding up corners of every circle which is then mirrored. Example: TL (top left) of all circles = BR (bottom right) (add up all the TL of every circle (3+4+7+1 = 15 = x)). So TR (top right) = BL (bottom left) = 5+8+3+4 = 20 (which is true).

Yes, you and mooman are right. The answer for 43 is 15. Thank you, it looks obvious now.
