I Don't "Like" to execute wounded horses, i just do my duty toward the animal to put it out of its misery like u said, plus shooting it in the head is not that painful comparing it to stoning or whatever, and we only stone the animal in rare cases when we run of bullets, we only stoned an animal like twice in the past 10 years ... and its all to put the animal out of its misery, because nothing is worst and more expensive than taking care of a wounded horse ... anyway i do it as a duty, i dont laugh or enjoy executing animals :\, in matter of fact i smoke weed sometimes before i perform an execution so i dont get stressed or anything and just do the job .

Well there are nicer ways than just shooting. I understand it's a quick and painless method but a bit brutal for my liking.
As an animal lover I think an injection is enough. And stoning doesn't instantly kill an animal if it's dying, to me that's making it suffer more until it dies.

imo shot in the head is as good as injection is for an animal, if it doesn't get too messy.
there's no pain involved anyway and shot is quicker than injection probably could be.
that's my atheist point of view tho.
