Elimination Mode

[MAF]mooman:
i think if someone gets eliminated they should get killed, have ELIMINATED in big letters come up on the screen and it should kick them from the server. now that's proper elimination. i'm all for helping noobs but i don't think it'd feel very elimination-y if you could just carry on racing.

[MAF]PyroFox:
Blah. But like, you're put into a different world, A "loser" world if you wanna call it that, and people who aren't eliminated remain in the "winner" world. To people who are winning, it will actually feel like people are getting eliminated, who cares if there are still people racing in the other world, if you get eliminated, you can quit if you want to, but I think it would be annoying if the server forced you into /tv. The server shouldn't recognise their position either after you get eliminated, obviously. When u get eliminated, just make it so the losers have to compete in their own world. It's the only way I see an elimination mode happening really, and I'd like to have it. It isn't really elimination-y I agree, but what else can you really do about it? I can just imagine a lot of people quitting if they get eliminated

Good idea but how about a ban instead?

[MAF]Snoopy:
range ban them

[MAF]mooman:
if we deleted iv, superhardcore, hardcore and freeze races we'd probably keep more players but i'd really rather not go down that road since i (and (hopefully) many other players) find those modes very fun and i'd rather have them than keep a few noobs online. plus when you die in css you have to spec for the rest of the round and i still see full servers in that.
