this keeps happening on lots of races :(

It kept happening on non-SK races because of the leaderboard, thats why in the middle of the day every race was an SK. :P

also this problem happens very often in maps like Richmond or MadMax's mountain drift. these maps havnt got crashy objects and sometimes i can finish the race but sometimes i cant... wtf bug?

New streamer for 0.3b could be causing problems, the mountain drift race by Madmax timed me out. We might need to do some testing offline [Lan] to see why it's become slightly unstable.
