Im going to buy a new computer, but im stuck on two choises:
Intel Core i3 530 2.93 4mb
Mb h55mxv
2 GB of DDR3 ram
GeForce GT 210 / 512MB DDR3
and
AMD Athlon II X4 Quad core 630 2mb
A74 MLK 3.0 740G
4 GB of DDR3 ram
Sapphire ATI HD5450 1GB DDR3
I would go for the first one, but the lack of ram worries me, on the other side I dont want to get AMD unless I have to.
Help?

-
make it AK47 then :L
-
if you dont plan to upgrade much or at all, or start with a strong psu on the first option, then definitely go with the second one
-
do you still have the pc build that i helped you choose the parts for slodwoh? :)
-
yeah its my current computer :P
-
Slowdoh has best sig.
-
solid 7 hours on ms paint 8). its now censored :D
-
AMD sux arse, overheats, I would combine i3, Nvidia and 4Gb
-
anything overheats with a stock cpu cooler.
i have a phenom 955 overclocked from 3.2ghz to 3.7ghz with a zalman 9900 cpu cooler and my temps never go above 47c, even when gaming for hours and hours
-
ye, I have a core 2 duo 2.8 Ghz with stock fan and look:

-
but you don't do a lot of heavy gaming
-
u sure? Im afraid IV and grid take a lot of resources
-
so what are your temps after playing them for hours on end?
-
well I cant tell u now cuz my video card burned and cant play last generation games
-
ok i'll wait :)

Won't sounds like somebody who have something against AMD,i was huge till they changed their mind and made their processors weak for overclock.Andy think about that how much money you paid that zalman 9900 to get normal temperature on 3,7ghz.When you write all that paper how much cost you processor and cooler cause stock one is pure garbage you getting price of some Quad core Intel who runs much faster and more calm. Not rapidly increase temperature when you trying from 3ghz to 4ghz or sth.
Its not point blame any squad cause they trying make as fastest as possible processors which will let us playing any possible game with full details. To be honest if he thinking about future my advice is i3.You know why?
Well when i was bored of Windows XP i jumped on Win 7 which is great system but as always there are some problems so Microsoft release XP mode, everything would be fine if each processor can run it.But there are just few of 'old' Intel processors able to run it.Am not sure that any of AMD's can proper run Virtual PC or something.Which make AMD total worthless :(
So if he think about overclock and some not home users shit my advice is i3 and 2gb ram you can buy more in future
