I can only use them through the quickfix menu.

Same.

"/tune #" always functions as "/tune 1" regarless of the number after it.

I think it was named as Tune 1 and Tune 2, but it never did check if it was a 1 or 2 tune.

Slightly easier, /tune for default tune, /tune [number] is the alternate tune.
