Title: SA-MP won't start
Post by: Mosca on November 19, 2010, 07:56:37 am
When I connect to a server for the first time after booting the pc and leave the server (/q), SA-MP won't start If I try to connect again to a server. Only option I'm left with is rebooting the pc which is annoying  :-\
Any ideas why this happens? and what can I do to prevent this? ???

 :o

Ummmmm. That's a lot worse than the gta_sa.set file problem people usually get. I'd still try deleting it though Mosca.
Another suggestion would be to delete your sa-mp chat log (D:\Documents and Settings\My Account\My Documents\GTA San Andreas User Files\SAMP.chatlog.text). Honestly, I don't think it is that, just throwing an idea into the mix.

Thank you guys for your replies.

I deleted the entire User Files folder in My Documents but that did not help at all :(

The problem seems to be GTA SA itself. Seems like the process does not end properly or something but even if I end it manually in the Task Manager the problem stills. I'm not able to run single player after several tries of opening GTA SA (it does not open) and closing the process manually but still can't connect to a server.

P.S.
make sure the process isn't comehow still running?
comehow - come how - come home
Thanks for explaining Firebox, I'm not that good with Aussie idioms :P :D
