Title: doubts components
Post by: Pesadilla on June 02, 2011, 04:09:10 am
heard many versions, many opinions on many servers.
but now I am here, with experienced racers
my question is whether different tires cause any effect on vehicle performance?
offroad / virtual / atomic /mega (just change the image?)
the hydraulics cause some side effects depending on the handling of the car?
example: cars lowriders+hydraulics more drift?
POWERSILDE=DRIFT 4X4?
the drift in 4X4 vehicles (sultan, comet, euros, tourism, infernus) is called "Powerslide" but with the help of nitro create "drifts of great strength."

I like his views on whether they have any experience or information.

I don't think so that San Andreas enginge can handle any tires' difference in perfomance. Also i don't feel it in-game.
About hydraulics... I never used it often but from what I remember it wasn't changing much the drift perfomance for example. Lowriders are itself not stable.
And yeah, for example infernus the more with nitro is drifting on a larger scale but i doubt it is "good" in drifting. The speed is making you think it's much better.

I doubt wheels do change anything, coz all data about cars grip are in 'handling.cfg' and 'surface.dat'.

Hydraulics can decrease acceleration.
For example:
-car without hydraulics just accelerate.
-car with hydraulics must 'rise' a bit before it accelerate, that makes you lose like 0.2 to 0.5 second in acceleration.

Powerslide + nitro?
Nitro is in-game script that increase acceleration a bit. Nitro also, in my opinion, makes a lot worse grip. That can feel like 'drift' but for drift would use some RWD cars with big power. (Sabre, Super GT, Bullet, Banshee, Cheetah, Hotring etc...)

I have some years playing SAMP. Always use virtual tires ... I can really feel a difference as compared to other offroad [(nitro + drift infernus) its front adhesions is less]. But if a and a record where the data changes and I have no doubts.
The hydraulics, meet up with Mad Max mentioned that the acceleration is affected (infernus), but their use improves cornering performance? a comparison with the "Slamvan"(which do hydraulics fold stronger).

PD:
super GT is hard for drift but awesome u.u
to be honest .. the infernus can drift but it is easy to be a 4X4

thanks for your comments
