I found code to make LC solid, which would be fun for a couple of races.

Off-Topic / Eaten bad chicken?
« on: August 10, 2010, 10:24:45 pm »
I just cooked some chicken which expires tomorrow, but made a bad smell when I cooked it. I decided to eat it since it's the only meat I have left, and the supermarket closed hours ago. It tasted funny so I stopped eating after having one breast and threw it out.

Have you guys ever had chicken food poisoning? How bad was it?

I've heard horror stories of vomiting for days, but I'm hoping it's just melodrama.

Off-Topic / DO NOT USE IMAGESHACK.US OR INTERNET EXPLORER
« on: August 08, 2010, 04:44:47 pm »
DO NOT USE IMAGESHACK.US OR INTERNET EXPLORER, UPDATE OR UNINSTALL ADOBE READER.

I never download any programs or say "Yes" to anything unless they're from a reputable site (e.g. Cnet's download.com). I haven't downloaded anything from the internet in the past three weeks.

I just got infected with a program called "Antivir Solution" by going on Imageshack.us (stupidly using IE). I didn't accept anything or click any dialogs, so was really angry.

The program got onto my system by an advert on Imageshack opening a .pdf file which executed the virus (which was luckily not too hard to remove once I got into safe-mode, but would otherwise not let me open ANYTHING or browse ANY webpage).

So this is a warning to you all: if you've been putting it off like me, make a backup of your computer now, stop using imageshack.us, stop using IE under any circumstances, and update Adobe Reader.

This is particularly horrible for me because I've reformatted several times in the past few months, and I am a very cautious computer user.

Who else has completed a GTA to 100 percent?

I remember visiting it years ago, and just rediscovered it. This is awesome*. Click on anything you like: everything is brilliant. It's by the same guy who made the CRUSHA advert.

*You probably won't understand if you're not British.  ;)

Edit: Oh yeah, might help if I post link... http://www.b3ta.co.uk/

I accidentally banned you thinking you were weapon hacking in /afk, not realising there was a GTAIV race running.

I apologise, and I am working on getting you unbanned...

Once again, sorry.  :-[

Off-Topic / Epoxi's SA:MP and AX friendly car mods
« on: January 05, 2010, 10:41:10 pm »

All of these mods do not alter the position of model dummies so are completely legal and fair to use on SA:MP. I have done my best to keep all the cars looking as SA-styled as possible so they don't upset the feel of the game. As for any ideas you may have, post them here and I'll do my best. Enjoy!

Installing these cars for SA:MP is simple.

  • Navigate to the "SAMP" folder in "San Andreas" installation folder
  • Open "custom.img" with a program like IMGTool
  • Add the .txds and/or .dffs
  • Rebuild Archive
  • Play SA:MP!

The files can also be installed to single player SA by replacing files in gta3.img.  :)
