General Server Discussion / Re: Rule Breaking Players
« on: March 26, 2015, 06:30:11 pm »
I dont think I blocking you. I mean, yea, I was slow on corner and everything, but this is not blocking! Just lack of skills I would say. If you expect that I will leave you to pass just becouse you are faster for 1-2 second, you wrong!

Although it's not written on the rules that you need to let pass someone faster than you, I think it involves a bit of common sense and politeness. If you know someone is faster than you and might go for a rec, letting him pass won't hurt you, specially if you are not a record whore (and I think you are not). But well, at least that's what I do.

I wouldn't be surprised if a rival channel hired him and created a similar show.

Yeah, I was thinking the same. Although unless the new channel is known and ''powerful'' like the BBC, it won't be the same, since they probably won't be able to get the same cars they can with the BBC, or do the same stars in a reasonably priced car, or the same trips. It'll maybe look too ''low budget'' compared to BBC :-\

Top gear is over, BBC won't renew Jeremy's contract :(

In case anyone wants to read what was said:
“It is with great regret that I have told Jeremy Clarkson today that the BBC will not be renewing his contract. It is not a decision I have taken lightly. I have done so only after a very careful consideration of the facts and after personally meeting both Jeremy and Oisin Tymon.

“I am grateful to Ken MacQuarrie for the thorough way he has conducted an investigation of the incident on 4th March. Given the obvious and very genuine public interest in this I am publishing the findings of his report. I take no pleasure in doing so. I am only making them public so people can better understand the background. I know how popular the programme is and I also know that this decision will divide opinion. The main facts are not disputed by those involved.

“I want to make three points.

“First – The BBC is a broad church. Our strength in many ways lies in that diversity. We need distinctive and different voices but they cannot come at any price. Common to all at the BBC have to be standards of decency and respect. I cannot condone what has happened on this occasion. A member of staff – who is a completely innocent party – took himself to Accident and Emergency after a physical altercation accompanied by sustained and prolonged verbal abuse of an extreme nature. For me a line has been crossed. There cannot be one rule for one and one rule for another dictated by either rank, or public relations and commercial considerations.

“Second – This has obviously been difficult for everyone involved but in particular for Oisin. I want to make clear that no blame attaches to him for this incident. He has behaved with huge integrity throughout. As a senior producer at the BBC he will continue to have an important role within the organisation in the future.

“Third – Obviously none of us wanted to find ourselves in this position. This decision should in no way detract from the extraordinary contribution that Jeremy Clarkson has made to the BBC. I have always personally been a great fan of his work and Top Gear. Jeremy is a huge talent. He may be leaving the BBC but I am sure he will continue to entertain, challenge and amuse audiences for many years to come.

“The BBC must now look to renew Top Gear for 2016. This will be a big challenge and there is no point in pretending otherwise. I have asked Kim Shillinglaw to look at how best we might take this forward over the coming months. I have also asked her to look at how we put out the last programmes in the current series.”
And lol @ the BBC wanting to ''renew top gear for 2016''. Good luck with that, no one's gonna watch it

Even without the video we have enough evidence to keep you banned, so there's no need to put excuses, your top1 in that drag race is just impossible, just as mooman explained:

Look at the difference in time your record has with old players who have tried this race many times and had extremely low pings when they made the record because they were in the same country as the server when they made the record. It is simply impossible for you to make such a good record from Bosnia when the server is in Germany. This race is a straight line without any skill involved, it has been loaded 190 times, raced by almost 500 unique players, the 2nd fastest time and 154th fastest time differ by only 200ms yet your time beats the 2nd fastest time by 214ms!

You'll be unbanned on 22/03/2017, but if you evade the ban and join anyway, your ban length will increase.

 >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:(

Probably the BBC butthurt bitches won't do anything though, Top Gear is one of the most viewed shows around the world, and if Clarkson goes, at least 50% of the people who watch it will stop watching it. I don't think they want that. They're gonna have to suck it up.

EDIT: After reading comments in the social media I'd say that if Clarkson goes at least 85% of the people who watch it won't do it anymore.
