yep You can think also about one GTX 260 (216 core in 55nm) and overclock it, or buy even 2 used 9800GTX cuz its same card as GTS 250, but much cheaper

I think you should take 2 X GTS 250 and when you run them on SLI, this config can be fast as 9800GX2 ~ GTX 280(single), and in most of games faster than HD 4870, 4890 .
