Erm.. Let's just make invisible votes, lottery type. People gonna vote out of 6 or 7 races having no clue what they are and the race with most votes randomly wins lol. Simple and no brain fucking

You mean instead of the voting system we have now? Cos if so we may as well scrap voting altogether and have a random race each time

EVEN BETTER if we get em randomly. Lottery type all the way. U vote for a number instead of a racename. And u find out what race won after its loaded only.

Is there even any point to voting then? Just let the server choose the race.

I think completely random races mixed with race buying is a good system. If you are worried about Long SKs you can just make the price dependent on (race duration)^2 (meaning eg. a race that is twice as long costs 4 times as much to buy) or have a max. time, or discounts/penalties for certain modes. To prevent too many races being bought you could make the price dependent on the number of races bought in the past week by some adjustable scaling factor. If people are buying too much, the price will go up until that isn't the case.

Of course, as always, I am full of ideas but not the will to implement them. But there could be help with that problem soon.

i think you may have confused SKs with stupidly long tourney TTs. All the new players start asking "why cant i see anyone" and 2 secs after chooses to /q.
Around 1/3 of  racelists have a stupid tourney TT.

When you have been playing 4 TTs in a row, a SK or IV is a fresh breath.
