This tourney is far less complicated as it is TT based.
Tournament Guidelines:
- You only get two attempts at each stage.
- If you timeout/crash, that is an attempt. Sorry.
- Your best of the 2 runs will count.
- There will be 16 rounds, 5 people eliminated in
the first 3 rounds, 4 people in the next 3 rounds,
3 people in the next 3 rounds, 2 people for the
3 rounds and 1 by 1 from there.
- Each round will last 3 days.

Hopefully you'll be able to do it any time you like, within probably a 2 or 3 day period. Nothing is set in stone just yet though.

Coded the majority of the Tournament.
You will get two attemps at each race (Stage). So once you type the commands, that's an attempt.
I'll let you know the command as soon as we have a unique race to select.
Your finish time will be sent to all players, but unlike TT, there won't be a top5.. urghh 10.. records command.

Atm, I suggest you do 1 Stage at a time. People can't join the tournament at Stage 2, it's just the remaining players who have posted here.
Last tournament was far too complicated and as a result it didn't even go ahead, let's not go down that road again.

It's going to be your time versus everyone elses. Then, depending on how many people we get, a number of the people with the slowest times will be eliminated, with eventually 1 person setting the best time in the final and winnins.

Okay and depending on how many people participate we have races in which X players get eliminated. Then is next race and final is more as 1 race or something?(Like 3 races and then count the total time to see who was the fastest overall).

Yeah you have the gist of things, but it'll just be two runs where your best time is the one that counts.
When we see how many people are competing, we'll open up another section and have the full details.

Yes you can. We're gonna get a section up for the tourney with all the info and any question you
wanna ask there. For the mean time just keep signing up, I think R just put an ad for it in the server.

The old forum topic was set up by mooman, the groups were awesome, but at the time I wasn't able to code a tournament as advanced as the one that was planned.
This tournament hopefully will be easier to understand, even Ush gets it. :L
Should be able to start the tournament this Saturday. A few things still need to be coded (player attempt checks). Also a few rules need to be finalised.

Not sure, I reckon if we hold each stage for 4 days that should give the players enough time to find time to play.
I suppose they will be eliminated if they do not join server.

That's fair enough, 4 days is plenty of time i think. Every racer who has committed to the tournament should be able to make time to race.

Well about eliminations, slow buddies should have a challenge on themselves also.
So what about categorizing the hall of fame? Like in rallies, 4wd 2wd stuff lol
I cant build up a proper idea for this, but i want it for good, for myself :P I cant be in tops for sure.But being the best like in group of something is better rather than "i got eliminated at the race with this much difference in time".

Well i want to make a race suggestion, one of my races that sits in pc for years lol
Ive made an emulated Surfers Paradise circuit by using stock SA map, no MTA.I found the roads look similar in Los Santos so i decided to give a try at that time.Its fast.

not bad, kinda similar shape, but you forgot Surfers Paradise is almost all flat, in LS there are many hills.
Maybe try to find sth like this in LV.

Ok guys, I have my net back so things can get started! Entries will close in 24 hours, and the tournament should be able to start straight after.

- If you timeout thats just bad luck, can't have people getting second chances cause of sour grapes etc.
- I think 3 days per round is a good idea, but I'll let R decide.

Yeah, Rac3r has coded it so you can only have 2 goes at the track and then you can't join the race anymore.

We should go over and discuss this two chances time trial.Sure about keeping it TT since challenge with more cars wont be so cool as this.But can be a part of tournament also eh? While scores depend to TT runs much more.Plus having group runs on the track for fun and some minor points.Its for people who says we should have it together.
Removing track from TT is useless, also a bad thing too.In my game i was in this idea; go over 1st round and learn the track.Then go and practice for it a bit and look for shortcuts.Just after ive done my 1st run i learn that the track is also in TT.I did my practice runs there.
After that i had a time improvation like 20 secs.
Are you fine with this Vertigo and Racer? If so, i just shut up. :)

I had that improvement on my last run in tournament mode.TT rec is 2.35 still.10 in TT 8+ in tourney.

Agree. I only had 1 chance to race that track and i wasn't able to practise the track... Not like rest of others. Thats lame and im saying that you MUST NOT add Tournament's races into /TT mode. Everything else is good. Oh and I hope not to see grid bug again. Cheers.
