I've noticed this happening a lot recently, everybody's game seems to be locking up at the same time, mainly in the lobby during race change.
I used to put it down to being a Windows 7 and SA-MP incompatibility issue, but since it happens to most players on the game at the same time, I don't believe that to be the case anymore.
It happened twice a few minutes ago just a few minutes apart.

Yeah, and now the server stopped working too :(

well the server started minutes ago , and no freeze in the lobby , but now the server is down again...

i've had this problem too. sometimes it unfreezes by itself, other times i have to end the process. hence the mass timeout lol

Let's not get this thread confused with downtime and lobby freezes.

I think it might be from having too many players in the same place.

Maybe spread players out or have them sent to different worlds, like half of the server or something

Or different new and exciting locations! lol

It'll be pretty hard to top the current one. It's got glass, falling, a big logo thing and most importantly years of memories :(

I don't know if this is the same as problem have noticed Snoops, but my game constantly freeze between ALL races, either at the beginning or at the end of a race.
I use ctrl alt del for stop the game, it's impossible to play for me! >:(

Hey, if you've got the "log out" button on your keyboard then use it - it's faster than restarting. In case it only shows a mouse pointer after you've pushed the button (on the keyboard), try to blind-find the button on the screen - it is there, it just doesn't show up on your display due to hung app. First time it might be hard to find it, but once you did it, you can forget about restarts ;) After logging off, log back in and use ctrl+alt+del to close gtasa.exe.

also, "yay" for windows xp, this is not an issue on 7 and onwards(probably even vista).

for me and few others ive seen the "spash screen" of ctrl+alt+del fixes this.

When I have nothing to do other than restart I sometimes try to blind-aim proper proccess in manager and kill anything untill I kill gta_sa. Then I run explore.exe again (desktop proccess you are most likely to kill by an accident lol)

my samp does freeze sometimes.. then I can ctrl+alt+del into task manager.. and I can only see my mouse while it's on the task manager pop up (or the other 2 pop-ups afterwards).. after that I have to click 'end' somewhere in the middle of my screen and then 'cancel' all by guess.

pressing alt+tab until you are focused on the task manager shows me the window correctly

it shows the window correctly, but outside the window I can't find my mouse lol

you should see it when the mouse is on top of the maximized window

Yeah that's the only time I see it the rest of the screen is black, when the mouse is there.. you can't see it

We're having game freezes again, I can't figure out why it happens.. but it's for sure between races (in the car showroom) and also after finish.. happend just now, maybe you have logs to check.. 14.44-14.50 (3 game freezes) Amsterdam Time.

I got a freeze yesterday when i type /race lol
