Just a question to MadMax and other poeple to share they suggestions as I and MadMax wanted to improve next season as much as possible...
Season starts 18th of February at DAYTONA 500! Only 10 days left!
However Max, are we planning to organise it again? Are we going to organise Nationwide? So mostly is even 2012 season going to happen?

I'd like to help my making a seperate mode for this NASCAR season. Easier said than done though, so I'll let you know if I can put something together for it.

Nice. Like I said today /nascar with password is enough. It would add you to some waiting room like /tt does. Everything would remain same as /race mode. We would only need some cmd to start race.

9:00 (morning = nearly noobless, so would go on fine)
12:00 (i really wanna to finish it before noon, keep in mind that i can't take time from 15:00 to 17:00 etc)

i m usually sleeping till 11:00 or longer
i just can't do between 12:00-17:00

I disagree! Meh, i hate night times, just as the morning times, 14:00 , 15:00 and 16:00 UK time where just perfect. I feel bad that this times are going to change. But if i have to chose between nascar in the morning, or in the evening, than i say the evening. But I hope so i hard this will happen again in the afternoon ::)

At the moment I have succesfully accepeted 56 drivers for 2012 season. I except it to grow up over 60 anyway during the last 7 days before 1st race weekend.
Remember that we will not accept any regrets that you are late and point won't count during season. Please tell if you're in or not before 26th of February.* doesn't obbey these who already did. Thank you.
P.S Less than 8 days 22 hours till Daytona 500. :police:

Max has suggested only fixing (/vr, /flip, /repair) is possible in pit. What if we all crash at lap 100, we have to start from the beginning?

Hmm, what about Lap saving? That's a lot easy to handle now (apart from the split bugs).
If you die or car explodes, /nc /kill /race /rescueme will return the player to the start (Grid lane) and keep your current lap count. So you start on lap X, with the first cp for the lap displaying.
What do you think?
I'm totally against dying and starting from the beginning because of an act of god (lagger, rammer, accident-er).

I think we should give that a try! It is too shitty to die at cp 199/200 or something because you couldn't reach pit and some tard rammed you off the track..

And euh.. /flip only possible in pits? What is the profit, that would be the last place I'd land after I/someone crashed (me).

Daytona 500 is 200 laps (602cps) and with pitstops included it should be around 2 hours and 10 minutes.

By beginning the race knowing you're gonna have to eat for half an hour, you're already racing for nothing and it was unfair to try and make us wait.

I talked, yes, sometimes just a few words when I got rammed. And did some admin jobs during the event.

I think that each race should be calculated so that it runs for about an hour in duration.
e.g A track with a 50 second lap should have around 80 CPs laps, while a smaller 20 second lap track should have around 200 CPs
That said, I think password + refuelling made nascar a lot better this time around.

Same, and the current time doesn't fit me too as at that exact time, i mostly have to go to Sauna or shower.

I don't know why you have abandoned that idea.
I expected all the races to start at that time. IMO it's the best option because you'd have got a whole day for yourselves and race in the evening.
What we have now is: DDDAAAAAYYYYYY, the race, pointless ~4 hours before sleep.
As for me, Sundays became days I cannot undertake any serious activities because the race starts at 4pm.
But I realise that there are different time zones and we'll have a problem to reach a compromise.

ppl are complaining about race lenght (me included).

One lap: 15 seconds.
500 laps: 15 x 500 = 7500 seconds.
7500 / 60 = 125min (excluding crashes + pitstops) so will be at least 130-140 min..

Cromiell got bored and tired of AX/SA-MP( or NASCAR in particular, dunno ).
He said this stuff and AX too is taking too much of his time and he don't want to do that anymore.
So he quit. He asked me to tell it bit later, so he can leave in peace.

I was actually watching Nascar last night, Eurosport channel.
I enjoyed watching it, but I could see why it's not appealing to all. This is why I think we should lower the laps and time duration.
Regardless of what we signed up for, I believe things need to change to suit everyones needs. To keep the community happy. To keep the new players (weget in the next 36 races/weeks) entertained.
36 weeks is a long time. We're only on race 3 or 4.
