Hey there!
tonight we decided to (finally) organise a football (soccer) championship on AdrenalineX! For those of you who would have never seen how the AdrenalineX football is, then check the videos in http://forum.adrenalinex.co.uk/index.php/topic,3277.msg83208.html#msg83208 .
The Rules
-There will be teams of 2 players only, an additional player is accepted on registration to play when one player can't play on a certain day.
-Before starting the game, players will have to /s their initial position. And then again after half-time when they change sides.
-Each game will last for 20 minutes, 2 half-times of 10 minutes each. The referee will have to stop the time every time the game is stopped.
-When a player flies away/is thrown away of the field, he has to drive back to the field. Using /goto is forbidden. The game is not stopped while a player is out of the field. It is stopped if the ball is thrown out of the field.
-Any ramming, blocking etc is allowed (and encouraged).
-Points will be counted as: 3 points for a win, 1 point for a draw, 0 for a loss. Teams will play against each other once. All teams will have to play against each other. Please do not participate if you don't plan to keep playing until the end of the event. In case of a draw in points between 2 teams, the number of goals scored will be used for the ranking, if it's still a draw, it's then the lowest number of goals against.
Things to know:
-The games will take part in LS airport.
-All around the field, I will add the wagons that make vehicles bounce. (I could use 2 or 3 more players to show them how to make that quickly and nicely so one of them could set up the field when I can't play and 2 teams want to play, of course they can still take part in the event).
-All games will be played in freeroam stunt. Only players and cameramen will be allowed in freeroam, any non-participant will not be allowed to come to freeroam, in order to avoid any mess/ruining of the event.
Needed for help in organising it:
-There will be a few official balls needed (using a caddy), they will have to be very active players, who already know how AX football works, with a good ping. Official balls/referees will still be able to participate in the event as normal players, they just won't be able to be a referee when their team is playing. About 3 balls/referees should be good, it will also depend on the number of players participating in the event.
-It would be nice if we can have a few cameramen for the event (flying safely above the field with an RC gobelin, spectating, or whatever)

So post here if you want to join the event, set up your teams, find a name for your team and official colours ( /vc ID ID). You can directly tell who is going to be your teammate and name of team, or just post if you don't know with whom to play and want to find somebody later.
Registrations for players will close on sunday evening (server time), after that, for players that didn't find players to team up with, there will be a topic opened for discussions for a few days. Additional players will be accepted only if they directly integrate a team during the team making processus. If you already know with whom you will team up, you can tell it now, it'll make things faster :)
After teams are made, a topic will be made to set up schedules when teams can meet to play. Times will most likely be in the evening and on week-ends since that's when most players are active.

well, starting date, but the good thing with this is that it can be pretty much anytime, whenever 2 teams that didn't play against each other yet can find a moment to play. So we'll make a topic for schedule discussions when registrations are done.

In! but remember that when you're playing at noons i'm at work because the time difference between South America and Europe (5 hours). My matches should be scheduled at your nights/my noons or my back up player will ocuppy my place very often lol!!!

btw, there has to be weather restriction because weather in stunt is not synced and thunder/rain is good for turns.

I am willing to be a ball when I am online and maybe even referee if I feel like.

Referee isn't much, ball/referee is the same, kind of, as the ball sets up the countdown (and would have to set up the clock there as well). About teams, you can register as a team already, that'll be good, otherwise if you don't know with whom to play, I'll close registrations on sunday evening and people will tell then.

Fuck you lol... Pretty sad to read it, and yet another reason to think that my decision was right to "grab a job" somewhere else. Had to log in on this occasion really. Have fun in my stadium anyway. (untill skunk really made one...)

What's wrong with the stadium? Did you make one as well? I had no idea there was a stadium until I was told, the night I made this topic lol.

Man, I have no clue what's going on there. I thought there was only one stadium made by me on the water between LV and LS. I meant it's just sad nobody gives a fuck about effort some people did put here a while back or even the people still doing. I thought stadium was only 1 so I felt a bit sad about it. I visit here once in a week or so on the forums for 1 minute or 2. I really didn't want to read it but happened. Of course maybe there is 2nd stadium made by somebody and since you weren't active back in while mistake is not a end of the world. And about the people who nag me to inform where did I move to. Please do not ask me where do I develop now. The only thing I can inform is that I am not here anymore, since like 2 months if some people didn't notice and still stalk me here and there. I am not going to advertise even on the private message. I have some gratitude for all that happened in my carreer here in 1.5 year. Sorry for shiting over this thread Ouzo. It will be mostly evening time and week-end since that's when most players are online. Anyway, try to do teams of 3 players, 2 taking part in a game so there can be an extra player to take the place of a player that couldn't make it some time.
Changes: the MTA objects making players too laggy, it'll take part in the LS airport.
Also, the rule of /L to load the position in case a player gets thrown out of the field is cancelled, now he'll have to go around to get back on the field (you'll understand seeing the field if you don't understand now).

Not gonna be in this cos my SA's fucked but still... surely teams of three would be better? Four's always too many but two would leave you with only one outfielder unless the keeper comes out, and I've seen MikeGT's shots and I wouldn't take that risk...

goals are already so slow with 2ppl, it would be too defensive with 3 ppl

every match I've ever played a goal's been scored every at least five minutes though... and in NASCAR we made a sacrifice by racing realistically long events... since most IRL football matches have like three goals scored throughout like 90 minutes it just makes sense... then again I haven't played in agesss, and some stuff might be done differently meaning less goals are scored

yet nascar event died 2 races after length has gone up...we play to have fun, and i see no reason to keep long and monotonous events if no one is gonna enjoy them in the end.

I was referring to last season when the races were still like a good hour and a half... and obviously I don't mean stretch out the event to that extreme, just not quite a goal every four seconds...although I can see two-man teams working well if skunk's pitch is the right size

2 is good in my opinion, games are 2*10 mins, this should allow between 5 to 10 goals overall which is more than usual football but a bit more fun imo, and more useful for counting points, less risk of getting draws. Every time I played 3vs3 it would become too messy, too blocked and not moving much. Besides, both players move during the game, there's not one that stays as a keeper the whole time (although if people think that's a good strategy, that's not a problem...).

It is still possible for players to register, but only if the already found a team of 3 players before posting.
