lol he has a new paranoia, he blames ax for his modem breaking and he thinks somebody is hacking it.. :S

he'll come on the server and be like ''ok then whos hacking my modem''

I had some problems with my modem when i play AX, so it could be possible being hacked by someone, but in this case i believe someone hacked simon's chipset monitor, each monitor can be hacked since the mainboard's chipset if it's corrupted, maybe simon got a virus inside of his mobo, its a huge issue that has had messing around in most pc users of whole world. Causes would come from any way, but i found a virus scan released for search virus on motherboards, maybe it could help you, it helped me...

It's fucked. It doesn't like any driver to be installed, and its not detecting what monitor is plugged in, so i can only use 800*600.

Any suggestions, or is the GPU fucked?

Fuck. Having checked this page on my phone there are no artefacts on that screen shot.

Does that meant the problem is with my monitor? That's why W7 isn't detecting it in the GPU settings and that's why when i installed the nVidia driver W7 wouldn't start maybe?

Hmmmm.

Hmm, have checked the monitor using a macbook and it worked perfectly fine.

So i guess the issue is between my monitor and GPU. Half tempted to reinstalled W7 fresh to see if it makes a difference but cba.

True. Tempted by this one:

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Sapphire-HD5770-Vapor-Graphics-Card/dp/B00303FRAM/ref=wl_it_dp_o?ie=UTF8&coliid=IIWQZROLOE7PE&colid=2915OANKE5RLR

Going to put the GPU in the other slot on the mb to see if it makes any difference. Might also try another cable if i can borrow one.

If all else fails, shopping time tomorrow.

hmm ATI lol, they don't work very well on gta san andreas :(

GPU wars are about to start :D bring it on fanbois!! :L

i found a review!

Reviewed by: Steff Jones (Swansea)

After Um'ing and Ar'ing over replacing my, let's just say ageing 8800GT - I finally went for it and ordered this, and I'll be forever kicking myself that I wasted 2 weeks thinking about it.

Amazing value for money, and will tackle any games currently out, at either max or high settings.

And as usual OCUK had second to non delivery and came the next day! :)

What are you waiting for?

Buy it!

just not sure about gta san andreas lol

Ok I tried it in the other slot and it was still fucked, and then it updated the video driver, forced and restart and then wouldn't load Windows.

So as long i as i don't load a single driver i can use the PC.

What equivalent nVidia card would you suggest then?

2005* and he also plays newer games :)

and you don't think older games need stable drivers? :P

I agree with that but most of us are like little child when he get new toy and want playing instantly. That is why i suggested to plug cd into drive and load drivers :L
For sure after that you going test and make best possible performance for that video card with new drivers  ;)

But still that is not worth if you are able playing game

I didn't find a CD in the package. Besides, i assumed it would be out of date if i did.

I not mind, just telling you what they are supposed to do with stuffs like power cables, adapters and cd's with drivers. Not all people are that rich to paying twice for something what they should get in package,or even worst some people are without internet and unable to download drivers for that card.Windows support in out of date already, and we all know that new cards wont run 3d without new drivers.
And most important thing many pc's now days coming without pre-installed software so what you gonna do without drivers?Bother somebody to download for you all drivers what you need to proper install system

as my dear jalicno said, CD has everything needed for your new VidCard, it has drivers and utilities and you also could update them from websites... well y'all know this... but

i recently downloaded some utilities for my Radeon HD 5750 and these made my vidcard more "faster" and "stable", and now this runs better

-ATI Cataclyst (main drivers)
-ATI Stream       (competition for Nvidia CUDA)
-ATI Avivo
-ATI Hydravision
-ATI Xcode
-ATI Hotfix update

i remember when i used to use Nvidia, i used to download a simple and unique drivers file (190.blablablablah.exe) from the nvidia's website, does someone knows if this file contains all the utilities that Nvidia has?? or what are the utilities that Nvdia manages???
