Search for some softwares that fix your connection drops. Or buy a good network card or something. It mostly happen when connection is hazardous and goes up and down.

Suggestions / Races database cleaning
« on: December 21, 2013, 11:44:57 am »
Hi there. As we are aproching nearly 6500 tracks in AX, we have a lot of similar races, a lot of very bad stuff, and a lot of old stuff too.

I was thinking, and I'm not the only one, that it would be great to have like a selection of some nice races to keep, and to throw all the rest in the garbage.

Server is getting old and most of the active players have got a solid experience of the game and races, mainly because we have a large database of races, so players are now more certain to qualify something that is good or not. The level of players have also inscreased, that permise more freedom and originality in building.

A cleaning of old races, and maybe on some non-old ones that are not good will let more room for new creations, and permite to have a race cycle of creations by mostly active players. And start building again with the skills the community gathered other the years, and start a new cycle of creation that is gonna be nicer and most of all less aproximative.

This would be a step further into AX credibility and will garantee a fun and smooth racing experiance.

Dont really know how it can be done and/or by who. But I think the community really need that to continue to progress in the good way, not to vote random stuff, not to be scared of votting stuff almost everybody will hate, not to have votting pole with only unknown random races, etc etc We can now exploit the SA map with more accuracy so again I really think this is needed.

Ew I see that is topic has been forgotten! Too bad cause it is pretty nice! I'll try to re-up it with some pictures of a cars we use to own, and in wich I have great memories, dream cars in some ways eheh!

Click for large pictures ; )

Somehow my father's girlfriend got into the pic of that world unique Alfa Romeo v8 Roadster, The guy who were building this model was suposed to make only 3 of them, he built this one and died during the building the chassis of the second one. A roaring monster!

This one is my father's all time favorite Fiat 124 Spider US version that he costomized as the years went on, it has two double Weber vertical carburators. Great for hillclimbs (Notice the totally useless rear view mirror, cant see shit in it, but damn it looks good! xD)

Years ago we had this Honda S800, the particularity of this sport car is that it gets to 9000 rpm at ~120 km/h, it feels like its gonna explode at first ahah, but a great nervous cars to have fun on tricky little roads !!

As for completing the red-team collection (almost since I dont have any picture of our Type-E v12 jaguar, that was red,we only kept it for like 4-5 month,  we got some others too like an other 124 spider, and a spitfire in red, but I was like 7-8 years old ehehe) here is a little funny one! The Fiat 508 Balilla series 2!

Aaah I'll give anything to get close to these vehicles again! I hope their new drivers take care of them :> Hope you enjoy those classics too! We put a lot of love into them, giving them a second youth!!!

After got stuck in a texture bug in the first round, and get a terrible time from it, I was doing my second attempt properly and then this happen:

As you can see my time is normal, 26/37 cp, 2:04. I didnt try to practise and never done, I'm a 100% honest player. This is really unfair, can I get a new attempt please? :/ Really dont want to get disqualified because of a bug in the script or something :/

A little compilation of the godfather of FWD (manual transmission)
Jannot is a french pilot, and one of the best drivers in the world. He stoped his career in 1996 because he thought rallys cars were now less fun and too easy to drive.

And with that an other compilation of the best pilot ever (Even Walter Rhorl said he was unbeatable, its not even arguable) the great great master Ari Vatanen, for the little story he beat the "top1" time on the Pikes Peak previously by Rhorl with 0.63 with tires for dry sand, and drove aprox 45% of the race on wet sand mud with the wrong tires with his ~370hp Peugeot 405 T 16 in 1988. Sad but true,  the pikes peak is now fully covered by tarmac, what a shame. Here is a nice video coverage of his climb: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J-K1B4sTX4o
