How many times have we banned him? It's time for him to feel banned and not just a 3 day joke like always. Regulars should not be treated in any special way, they should actually be an example of what is the expected behavior in this community.

This is all from the 'I' perspective and I find that kinda egoistic. The above smells like friend-policy which I'm not a big fan of.
And I still don't like you bring up the excuse that I kicked you, I apologized for that because it was in the heat of the moment. Both Andy and Runty just were on my nerves and then you tell me to calm down, wrong timing. Getting out the ban hammer for that?? WHAT? How do you even dare to bring up that suggestion.
Also I am here to enjoy my game, but I don't want some 16 year-old-boy to spam my whole screen with 'v gay' '^gay' and what more all the time. Then if he's about to discuss my bans in chat trying to get reaction out of me (provocative behaviour) then he blew his chances. I asked Jalicno how often he banned runty.. well at least 2 times, maybe 3 he said.. I banned runty 3 times already and he still behaves like a baby, why? Because some admins unban him within 24 hours so he thinks he can LIFE ABOVE the rules of our lovely server.

"/ignore <id> all" is a nice command, It's there for a reason at the end of the day =) All friction could have been solved with that. +1 Unban Runty, at the end of the day, it's not like he's causing you physical harm, or even mentally harming you in any way. He just has an "alternative" sense of humour to the rest of us. Who ever knew someone behind a keyboard typing in words could enrage so many people. As R said, it's a game! Runty is the life of the server! Some people may disagree, but he is for many people, especially us British players. unban IMO, I don't want to cause more bother than this is already, but seriously, what gratification is gained from preventing one player (and may I mention again, the /ignore command) Is quite simple enough, and everyone else is free to use it. He isn't hacking, modding, doing fuck all, just having a bit of banter, so yeah, there's my point.

SO you're here to have fun, chat and entertain yourself, right? Well I don't see how can somebody be entertained with a little "friend" that the only thing that he can do is get online, flame and make everyone's game a miserable time.
If a fellow admin bans a friend of mine, I would not only respect his call, but support it. We don't get paid to do the job we do, we do it the best way we can and all of this just because we want to see everybody enjoying this gamemode the best way possible, but if our calls don't get respected and people gets unbanned just because they are friends of a special somebody, what the fuck are we doing here?

I totally agree.
Also, this arguement isn't about whether or not Runty deserves an unban. It's about which side of his personality we experience most. I see his good side mostly, whereas Ush sees the bad. Considering a total cunt wouldn't have a good side to consider (RayCarter) but there's a positive side in Tom (so much so that it's predominant for some people), he should be unbanned. Permaban is too harsh...

Me, I'm soft as shit, I'd let some players get away with murder. Jalicno is very strict, he doesn't let players get away with anything. mooman has a very dry but very funny sense of humour. Snoopy is friends with a lot of people, but something he gets issues by certain individuals. Knutico is a caring guy, who sometimes turns to the dark side. Ush likes to get smashed off his face and uses it as an excuse for most things.
..... Lil runty likes to wind people up, just by using his keyboard.
Few examples, but it's the way we are. Just a shame lil got banned forever for it.

no but your ban was incorrect, you banned him just because he provoked you and you fell for it. what if I was in your place and he was provoking me? he wouldnt have been banned. And using his previous bans to justify you ban is wrong, because he was forgiven for those bans

Your use of reasoning takes the context of the situation runty was in, and to compare it to what you are doing here
and this is quite an unfair analogy...
it may be what you are doing here (showing loyalty) can be slightly comparable to runty's situation, but the context and level of aggravation the situation runty was in, is incomparable with what you are standing for here. Hence why you are not banned...

I know the context differs, since Tom was provoking an already-aggrivated Ush. I believe, however, that ban decisions should be made based on the actual offense, not just the context the offense was committed in. Reading through my posts in this topic, Tom said a lot less to recieve his ban. The only difference is the fact that he said it to a pissed-off Ush, rather than a debating Ush.
For example:
somebody who uses speedhacks on a TT race would deserve just as much punishment as somebody who cheats in a oneworld race. Yet the type of race that's being hacked on differs totally. Different context, same offense.
TL;DR context doesn't matter.

He should never be unbanned, but you guys are so soft I would accept an unban but I would leave him banned for at least 3 more months. He blew it 5 or 6 times already, he is just having a big laugh at the admins that are doing a great job

Having been banned multiple times already should have gave him a clear heads up for what is coming...
he could've learnt the reasons why he was banned... or maybe he ignored them. But if he has been banned several times already for the same reasons, then he most does deserve a permanent ban despite whether it was a pissed-off ush or a debating-ush

stop using his previous bans for flaming and spamming, he wasnt banned for that, he was banned for provocative behaviour, and if you check the log thats posted here you can clearly see that runtys ban was uncalled for. maybe a mute, but not a ban. you are judging him based on the things he did in the past. yes, he was banned in the past for spamming and flaming, but he was unbanned. now he was banned for provoking an angry admin and thats not a reason to ban someone. im not defending him because hes a funny guy, if he was banned for spamming or flaming or any kind of reason to get banned for, this wouldnt have happened. im defending him because he didnt deserve to be banned this time

So, the server's main coder and leader wants Tom unbanned. Half of the server are against the decision, and the poll is in favour of an unban. Ush's decision has caused more controversy than most other bans combined, and for good reason. Yet you still say that?
Saying he's not getting unbanned and then simply locking the thread would be totally ignoring the views of the majority of the server, which is completely unfair.
