you definitely don't need that cooler though, and the stock one isn't terrible either.
if 1000 is the limit, drop down to ~i5-4570 (you probably won't even feel that) and get some decent gpu instead. something like R9 280 is a really good deal nowadays, but with i5 and the cooler cut, but you could even afford something like gtx 970, which could drive 2560x1440 monitor on max settings on almost any game.
do you need it to be silent while gaming too, or then it can become louder?
also, no hdd needed?

will you use the PC for highly multi-threaded workloads, that can use all 8 cores easily? i don't know what are you working with, so I can't really say that i7 is useless for you, but for most people it is.

if you don't need to OC, you can get pretty much any cheap motherboard that fits (i.e. right socket and H87), and not worry about it, you probably don't need the additional features. the smaller ones are fine, just check that the feature list has everything you might want.

Nvidia is considered somewhat more premium and had less driver issues, but lately it doesn't really matter, as AMD did a good job fixing theirs, so its mostly just who holds the performance crown, and that is irrevelant for us. AMD's price-performance is usually better indeed.
did you really want to go with such a low end gpu? with an otherwise high-end pc, i'd take way more powerful GPU, but I guess you might not need it.

instead of one 8GB ram stick, get two 4GB ones, as then you can put them in dual channel mode, and they will be faster.

also, cpu coolers are really unnecessary if you do not overclock, unless you find the stock one to be too loud, and even then, the 60euro one is way overboard..

is i7 a must? i'd take an i5, and then you can get pretty much any gpu you find necessary except the very high end, and still be in the same budget.
even if you need an i7, is 3770S one any cheaper? otherwise it doesn't make much sense getting the S edition

as for something comparable to 750Ti, R7 265 is way better for the same price.
the noise levels just don't differ enough, especially with aftermarket coolers
http://www.anandtech.com/bench/product/1130?vs=1127
(noise is in the very bottom)

lastly, why do you need a Z97 mobo, if your cpu isn't even overclockable? H97 is no worse with the exception of SLI/Crossfire and OC.

MSD Hotwheels maps too
that's almost like derby with ghost mode

i think quite a few maps could have it enabled, though - tts, and then manual selection, where we have pretty equal amount of races both with and without it.

That's so annoying, I'm getting 50% of the speed for the same price. Oh well.
i worded it badly, its actually 67% of the original performance, as in 67% + 50% of 67% = 100%.
but still.

in MTA collisonless vehicles are usually made partially transparent, so you can understand when you can pass through them, and when you cant. But you can't do that in SAMP, and I don't know how to make the distinction in another way, maybe a reserved color? It will still take some time to get used to it.

the i3 is just about 50% slower than the i5, but the AMDs are both more than two times slower, and their GPU is worse too, so i3 is the better deal.

ghost mode can make timetrial races pretty intresting. You can actually see your oponents, but still race 'alone'

that's cool , but if someone in front of you breaks a pole , then with ghostmode ON on /tt ,you can benefit that fail with doing a better path

timetrial races aren't the same as /tt, and this will most likely not happen in /tt, since mostly you would be the only one racing that race anyway.

Things stored on the SSD will be fast, but those stored on the HDD won't be. That's why usually people install windows and their most demanding programs on the SSD, but keep rarely used data like movies on HDD. However, if it's an laptop, most likely, you won't get to keep both of them because of size constraints, unless you want to replace the DVD disc drive with another case for HDD/SSD, which is often possible.

Those Quad Core Pentiums that you see are just a bunch of BGAs like the J1900. Nice pick Vert, Those Pentiums are just dual cores on HT just like i3.
i don't get your point.
the fact that they are BGAs or not has nothing to do with laptop choice.
and, the i5 is actually an dual core on HT too http://www.notebookcheck.net/Intel-Core-i5-4210U-Notebook-Processor.115081.0.html

in spite of that, it is about two times faster and has about 4 times better built in GPU than the celeron, so it could run SA and alike good enough.

i'd go with the i5, if you're fine with the price, and get a 128GB ssd bit later.

and sorry, i looked at the wrong HP back then, but still, it wasn't a good option.

I am glad I got it on PS3 for now, I can't imagine how you PC-only guys must feel.  :(

I can't wait to play AdrenalineX on GTAV...it's only a matter of time before MTA:V or V:MP comes out (GTA:O isn't very good at all when compared to SA:MP).

I would play AX more, but the cars don't feel as fun after having played GTAV.

V:MP? Kye is only gonna waste his time. Same goes for Towncivilian.

you seem to speculate more than you actually know... how about not taking sides when you don't have the information needed to do so?

that HP is terrible, i mean... 32GB of storage... really (with the speed opposite to the ssd's lol)?

minus the lack of ssd, the Acer Aspire E5-511-280C Laptop looks very good, i wasn't aware laptops at this price point ever had quad cores (much less intel ones).
http://www.harveynorman.com.au/computers-tablets/computers/laptops/acer-aspire-e5-511-280c-laptop.html
it seems to be sold out, but you can probably still find it somewhere

the rest are worse than that.

they won't be much cheaper in a few months though, unless I'm missing something. the prices are dropping, but it happens over the years, and not in a matter of months.

from my experience, unless you buy the premium brands (mostly lenovo and sony), there is no difference in the brands. I have a cheap acer that looks pretty good and is in a fine shape 3 and a half years later, but way more expensive asus and samsungs my friends have are made from such a cheap plastic, that it sqeaks and slightly twists when you take it in your hands.
so, don't judge the brand, and just try the particular laptop yourself.

performance-wise, i'd just suggest to get an SSD, as it's even more beneficial for a laptop, because everything will be stored in it, unlike in desktops, and laptop HDDs are even worse than desktop ones.
at that price range, you will probably have to install one on your own, but it's definitely worth it, even if you end up with way worse laptop.
you will also need to decide, do you need 256GB of storage, or will 128GB do just fine, obviously second is way cheaper.

tl;dr - brand doesn't matter, check the quality yourself, and get an SSD
