Ali has a bit of a point. What's the main reason to even make a b-day topic?
To make someone feel special or see that we somewhat care. For this, there's not much, if any effort left to be done, so it's just worse at the main purpose it is supposed to do.
I admit, my "Happy bday!" took mere seconds to be written, but it's just more special in an own topic.
I don't mind either way, but i can see others not liking this.

Besides, flooding is not an issue, as those topics die quickly after they become outdated.

I don't like this, birthday topics have been made since 2008, each indivudal person should have a birthday topic. Besides they don't get made anymore as much so spam doesn't count.

Just open a new part in forum called birthday greetings, then there will be no spam and every single guy will have his own special topic! :)
