General Server Discussion / Re: How to get on the bridge in /dm mode?
« on: July 06, 2017, 04:09:02 pm »
Managed to do this a few times:

In one corner, you can dive under the mapped mountains, gotta be fast, nearly kills you. This takes you out of the map, then head left until you can climb onto the backside of the rocks. From there, it is just a few tries to find a way up. From there you can walk onto the bridge.

When San Andreas came out, Rockstar didn't care about unofficial multiplayer mods, cause why should they? Just promotes the game and keeps a userbase.

But now Rockstar is earning $$$ with the multiplayer, there is a reason everything is getting more expensive and less useful with every DLC, the reason is called cashcards. Now, they will never let anyone touch their multiplayer and make another one without their own wallet attached to microtransactions.

Get used to it, it's not 2005 anymore...

Oh btw, anyone else having trouble with matchmaking, lobbys, joining etc? I need at least 3-5 minutes from game start to finally being in a multiplayer lobby. Joining friends in other lobby often fails for a lot of reasons and the handling of large lobbys is a pain in the ass (crashing, merging with 1 player lobby, infested with lvl 1 morons).

Although I like EDM and stuff like this, this thread needs more individual music. I'm getting kind of tired hearing all these house music mixes of famous songs. Right now there is a freaking tropical house song of Depeche Mode's "Enjoy the silence" on the radio. What. The. Fuck.

Don't think it's fake.

ATM skimmers and manipulated parts are a huge issue here in Germany, and I think basically everywhere. In my town, there are reports every week of people trying to forge on ATMs in the biggest bank at a huge plaza. There are people and cameras everywhere and they still manage to place things on the ATM.

Most used tactic is that they place something over the money slot, so when money gets pushed out, it goes into the fake slot and doesn't come out. Person at the ATM then thinks the machine is broken and leaves or tries other ATM. Then a person who has been hanging around in the ATM rooms comes over, pretends to use the ATM and removes the fake slot with your money in it.

When using an ATM, I basically touch every important part (keyboard, card slot, money slot) to check if it is loose or feels "weird". Ignore when someone starts talking to you when getting money, they will try to distract you. Always standing as close to ATM as possible, use wallet or hand to cover hand when typing in pin. Put money back into wallet while still standing at ATM, not while walking away.

There was a nice chart, which compared the voting by age to "time you have to leave with this decision". Old people who just don't give a fuck about future voted for leave, young people who have to deal with the results for decades voted for remain.

About first question: I doubt anybody in this forum could have experience first hand. EU was founded 1993, but originated from other union agreements much earlier (see: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/European_Union#Structural_evolution)

About second question: Don't know for sure, but I know people working in financial related jobs or trade and export would've voted for remain. Same for immigrants. Maybe people with these criteria live there.

I like to add:
Disregarding if this decision was right or wrong, what David Cameron did was just pure careless. At first, he started the talks about referendum to calm his OWN political party because he doesn't achieve enough, and then tries to hold them back when they are actually going for it. And guess what: Now that shit is boiling, this guy decides to leave his position in October, right in time so some other poor soul has to deal with the negotiations with the EU about the leave.

This man is just a coward to me. A blatant opportunist more interested in his own success then the future of his country and fellow countrymen.

You forgot one thing.

This server isn't owned by the public or the government and you have no right to be on the server. It's a private server and the owner and his admins can do whatever they like to do to you on their server.

Your attitude shown in the past would at least make be keep you banned.

General Server Discussion / Re: Lagging with an over qualified PC
« on: February 22, 2016, 08:45:20 am »
Also, maybe try running the game with every optional program like Shadow Play switched off and killing all running processes which aren't neccessary. For example updaters and stuff like that. Just to make sure it's not some incompability. Remember the game is old and as someone already said it is horribly coded in some parts, which might cause compability issues with heavily optimized software of today.

You could also run the task manager while playing the game and monitor the ressource usage. You get graphs for each component (GPU, CPU, RAM) and could watch for peaks to find out exactly, which component causes the lags or is the bottleneck.

Remember, a peak in usage (causing lag) doesn't always mean the component is to weak, it might also mean the game itself is spamming it with unneccessary tasks which causes an overload.

In Germany, we have a game called "Klingelmännchen" (eng. "door bell manikin"). You ring the bell of some random house and then run for your life. Mostly played by 5 year olds or otherwise drunk people. Pretty much reminds me of this.
