Once you have Mumble installed, click below to join:

when connecting to server, you'll get some error about a certificate. just click yes and it'll go away, never to bother you again

Had an idea that if it was possible, to have a TS server or something?
Dunno if it would be successful so I got this free teamspeak3 server to have a test run

first thing i noticed about it was that it had an overlay that says who's talking. i haven't used vent recently so i dunno if it has it but i've never seen anything like that with ts

Mumble is win, i use it on css wars.. Skype sound quality + overlay who is talking

Any way to turn up the quality on this to something decent? It's terrible atm :( I remember it being better. Also, people should use it more often!

I'd prefer a Ventrilo server.. is there anyone who got access to that?

Is there any difference between the two? Unless you already use ventrillo then you wouldn't want to have two clients running, other than that there really isn't.

I never tried to figure out, sorry for that :P But I already have Ventrilo installed so I guessed it'd be easier for me to access :L

Mymble is good how it shows who is talking in game. Other than that I'd probably prefer TS3 to Ventrilo.

I use anything different and can't be arsed to download mumble.
I hear it everytime I invite somebody to talk there lol.

I use teamspeak as well with friends but have no problems using another client. We seem to get periods where we use this and then the majority of us forget about it a few days later :L Would be nice if we got used to using it consistently, handy for reports and stuff like that as well.

Yeah that's a bit of the problem I have.. there's no consistency in what we're using and cba to install 3 programs to find out if there's a place where there's someone to talk to :L

Lol its full of ppl doing nothing but echoes and spam. Terrible quality, but fun.

We are working hard on a offical internet radio but that takes time. We will keep u informed about that.

jarno u can open an ax radio for free on internet , we can put the link on shoutbox and add it on game , quality will be much better and l can help u out for that ;)

btw, if you have android, check few of the clients if it doesn't work in the first try, some just don't work.

I'll try LordMarty's! I've left my Mic at my friends, so very happy there's an Android app as an alternative.

i use 'Plumble', it has nice ICS UI and all features you could need, but its paid app.
there was one alternative that missed voice detection support and nice UI, but its free.
not sure how it was called but it was 2nd hit when searching for "mumble" in app store.
btw, i use my phone instead of pc mic because apparently phone mic's quality is 100 times better.

Was impractical using my phone while racing, having to press my mobile screen to talk. Also I was unable to hear Karlip :( Also when the screen locked, the sound quality was terrible, probably because it was using low CPU usage while locked.
I got my Headset back now, installing Mumble on my PC

Yesterday was pretty epic, about 10 of us on Mumble chat while playing. It sure does spice up the in-game play.
I'll add something to the server to try persuade a few more players to join us.

Use win7 voice recorder. My XP one is found in START > ALL PROGRAMS > ACCESSORIES > ENTERTAINMENT
When you plug in the mic, does a Realtek window pop up? If not, it could be a problem with your drivers. Try plugging it in the back, might have more luck.
The voice recorder will show your voice in a bar-graph thing.

yep , realtek pop-up showed up , and i managed to make it work, but i can't make the headphones work , now when i speak , the audio goes directly to my stereo speaker

I suppose unplug stereo speakers and plug headset into there :(
I know it's shit having to keep switching, but it will work.
Mine, if I plug in my headset mic. and headphones, it'll send then to the headset.

your video card or system doesn't support the overlay feature properly? you can always go to preferences and disable it.

almost 2 years passed :D , now with new pc i don't have any problems (well i don't even use mumble anymore lol)

It's using the old web server whose annual bill is now due. I can move it to our new server but I just wanted to check if it's worth it.

I haven't been on much recently cause of work. I'm sure there's another mumble/teamspeak/ventrilo server we can scab off.
