if you don't plan to overclock , Z series motherboard is way too much , you can stick with a h87 mobo.

you may also consider an SSD disk .
he specially notified that he wants to overclock, and hence he chose the overclocking MB.

but i second you about the SSD, probably couldn't live without one anymore.

and the last two questions which i somehow missed the first time:
yes, you this MB is OC friendly in UEFI BIOS, however, look at what i said about CPU, and yes, 700W should be enough even with a big overclock.

ops, didn't read the last two lines :blank:

and i can confirm that now  i couldn't live  without ssd , bought one with new pc last year , and it still amazingly fast ( windows loads in less than  4-5 sec.)

Help & Resources / Re: Unstable fps on HD 4650

Are you on windows xp or 7?

A friend of mine had the  same card and the same problem: we tried everything but it seems like old radeon cards (like 3xxx -4xxx series) have unstable fps on DirectX 9 games on win7. when he switched back to xp , his fps went normal.

7770 is in no way a high end card, it can't handle newest games on 60fps full hd maxed out, but it is enough to play any game at acceptable graphics settings if you don't have a full hd monitor.
That's exactly my point

you talk about generic HD screen in your first post , i know it can't handle 60 fps at 1080 , but i thought you were talking  about 720p

7770 is not the best gaming card out there, but if you don't plan to play games like Watch Dogs on HD screen and ultra settings, you should be fine

i have a 7770 and i can play almost everything maxed out. So don't make disinformation please.
It also depends on the RAM amount and processor, it's not the same to have a 7770 and 4 gb ram to play with 7770 and 8 gb ram..

nope , it 's all a matter of CPU , You can have 32 gb ram , but  if you have a q6600 or an old dual-core, you'll be  beaten easily by a i5/i7 with 4 gb ram.
