I think this is a better idea, it's easier to ask if somebody knows the basics of building a race without a fast moving chatbox. And it will get more people to register on the forum. Also r can you add "You must apply at
www.AdrenalineX.co.uk for your buildmode licence" on the request buildmode option on the server please.

Bit outdated but it should help.
How to make a good grid in the buildmode?General information:For the GRID positions I have my little-big walkthrough, grid is the hardest thing to learn in making races most of the time:
The first to CP's you gotta set are the Grid positions. Position 1 and position 2. We have different types of races, in fact there are 3 types for the grids. TimeTrial, Oneworld and NormalWorld. Remember you always set the 1st grid spot before the 2nd grid spot. After that the normal race CP will follow.
How to make sure a grid is going straight? Well, I just drive backwards and look at the lines at the road if they come any closer or any further away from me, if that's so, then your grid isn't going straight. Just try it over and over again until your grid is in a straight line. Most of the time it costs you 4 or 5 times driving back and forward to get in a straight line, sometimes faster, but I don't know good you guys are in that
Timetrial:If you make a timetrial race, everyone will start from the same spot, look for a nice spot to let the race start, set position 1 and 2 at the same place. In fact you can do it everywhere, but make sure you got a good overview of the road ahead.
Grid will look just like this:
½
Position 1 and 2 at the same spot.
OneWorld:For OneWorld races you gotta search for a long flat road. These grids are like total F1 grids, but we got a maximum of 40 spots on our server. Make sure that as many people as possible could fit in the grid, best if everyone(40) fits in. I have here a picture of how a F1 grid looks like, your grid will look the same, the yellow/blue car is 1st grid position and the white car is the 2nd grid position, after that everyone will have the same space between them.

ETC.
NormalWorld:Last but not least we have the most used grid. The normal world grid. Each world has a maximum of 5 people. So you make a grid for 5 people. I prefer to make them on long flat roads, which I recommend. I don't like when races start in front of a corner, cause that will cause big crashes in this world type. Just search for a road and set grid positions and make your race!
Gonna look like this again:

4

Good luck!
