Yeah, I'm thinking of cutting the cooler and maybe upgrade this later (if neccessary). Really want to have "matching" core components (cpu, gpu, ram), so nothing of it creates a bottle neck for performance.

The PC can get louder when gaming, you can't really prevent that anyway. But my comparison is said "turbine" from the old days, so maybe I'm probably just a little too worried about it.

Also, I'll just go with the SSD first, cause I got a 3 TB HDD in an external case already in use, I would transfer it into the PC later.

In regards to the RAM, is there really so much difference with dual channel? I did some research and basically every source I found was like "Meh, not significant, you wont notice".

Edit:

Wohoo! Below 1k!

nero , you better have 2x4 GB Ram then 1x8gb .

With only one stick you'll lose the benefit of dual channel.

Edit : and if it fails for some reason you can't use the pc ..

the dual channel will give you ~5% performance increase in some applications, which is pretty good considering it doesn't cost anything to get 2x4 instead of 1x8.

Even if card is nearly 10 years old, at least you can install/use Windows 7. Card is more friendly to newer systems due compatibility to DirectX 10  ;)

Yes i have Installed Win7 too on my 2nd partition ofc.

I have`nt made a proper samp grip/smoothness test yet but I believe that I don`t gain any performance boost from WinXP
WinXP limit the frames to 93
I think it works better in Win7 with full 100-101 FPS

I will be testing and practicing my turns tomorrow :)

My normal card is Radeon HD5870
Is there anyway i could use this card together?
I mean so i don`t need to swap card everytime i want to play new games like (fallout 4, GTa5) then swap again for samp..
Or could i use this 8800GTS with my Radeon as a secondary card to boost performance little bit for new games?
TY
