Thought I'd post here instead of starting a new thread.
I'm trying to play movies on my TV by connecting it to my PC. It works, I can see my PC playing on my TV, except when I use VLC, it just shows a blank screen, like when you try to take a screenshot and when you paste it it is just a black screen.
How can I fix that? Do I need a plugin or something for VLC? Thanks.

this is kind of a blind guess, but isn't there an option to configure screen outputs, since you have more than one?
also, did you plug it in your video card or motherboard? try the opposite.
