Hi, got this pc for free. It's not new, some parts were changed. But it seems to lag in SA and call of duty MW with medium settings. Could it be that video card is not compatible with Win7 ? I've tried updating drivers. I can't think of anything else, this kind of cpu and 8gb of ram should be enough for samp so as for call of duty. Overall it runs smooth, it's very quiet.
Any ideas ?

The ATI Radeon™ HD 2400 is a feature-rich upgrade from integrated graphics for an immersive experience with DirectX® 10 gaming and HD video.

Spports dx10 but feels like i'm playing with my old ati x600. It shouldn't be like this damn...

New HDD + Graphics card would work.

If it doesn't, degrade to windows XP.

Windows XP wont help him much, ati 2400 is onboard video card.
In some games your previous x600 is double faster, that is enough to explain how weak video card you have at this moment.
If you not want spend lot cash, buy some used 9600gt or 4850 both cost less than 50 euro,am sure both still can run smooth any game what you play. ;)

well, I can talk of experience of a 9800gt (same as 9600gt, or clse enough) I get good fps in GTA SA: 1280 x 1024 x 32, anti aliasing off, low visual FX and can I get 30fps in oneworld and SK and up to 80fps doing something else. Test Drive Unlimited 2: I get 25-40fps with maxed settings.
HELLO THERE

I did some searching and said to myself that i could get more than a 50 euro worth GPU.

Here are my findings so far:

http://www.club-3d.com/index.php/products/reader.en/product/radeon-HD-6670.html

http://www.bit-tech.net/hardware/graphics/2010/09/22/asus-engts450-top-overclocking-review/1

http://www.maplin.co.uk/asus-amd-radeon-hd-6770-1gb-graphics-card-536897

By the way, does it really matter which manufacturer made those GPUs ? The shop from which i'll be buying gpu offers cards made by various manufacturers such as ASUS, sapphire, MSI, Gainward...

I'd be really greatful if you guys could give me some comments on my choises  ;)

The GTS450 is the more powerful over the HD6670. The HD6770 at a great price and more powerful than both.
