SA-MP 0.2.2 R3 Client Update (Current 1.7)

It looks like the future of SA-MP is still looking good, Kye has released a R3 Client update which seems to be have fixed many problems.

Nope R3 Runs fine with all of R2 servers, just tested so its up on U Folks will u use R2 client or R3( witch is actually still beta) on server

hey we can see grass and plants in R3

ok, i am playing with that on very high details, omg is very good the textures on the ground :P, btw my ping is back i reenstal my windows i'm soo happy :P :P

It isn't hard for people to get it from IRC. That statement is bullshit.

The fact is, SA-MP has asked us not to link people to the download.

Me, it's Cool. Many bugs are fixed, tho alot bugs still there.

That sounds more like a fix..

I remember playing on a roleplay server, it'd be hard to be passenger on a bike of a lagger. because of the lag he seemed to smash into things and you fall off.

I'm gonna try it as well.

Yeah I am using it, seems to be more PC demanding though, my PC was terrible before, it's now even worse.

Don't get me wrong, a great update. Really impressed, just need to sort my PC out.

Seems to have a few new bugs, like the sound of players falling at start grid, also players that look dead on the floor, seems to got really bad. But there more good things than bad, sound improvements, graphic improvements, in theory less lag and timeouts. Woop.

I could only remember racer and andy :P sorry guys.

I've tried the release and I really can't fault it. Though I didn't really have much trouble before the update, so I haven't really noticed much of a difference.

R3 Final, all stones and trees have been removed.
What everyone needs to realise is that SAC was capable to downloading a virus automatically. R2 is no longer safe. Blame Jacob.
We have to change people.

- Removed all SAC code. This fixes a security vulnerability mentioned earlier.
- Fixed problem with clipboard text not copying externally.
- Fixed time/fog/lighting flickering when the passing of time is disabled.
- Fixed some vehicle audio problems (silent cars/planes/boats/helis).
- Fixed texture lag/streaming popups when many models were loaded.
- Fixed some car mod shop crashes.
- Alternate siren for police vehicles is now synced.
- TextDraw code is completely rewritten. It now works in interiors and will disable with the scoreboard.
- Crashes caused by DestroyVehicle script are fixed.
- Imported some of the 0.2.5 vehicle surfing code.
- Added command /fpslimit to adjust the frame rate limiter. Valid /fpslimit values are 20-100.

For people that are wondering, the term 'Surfing Vehicle' basically means standing on top of a moving vehicle. In Previous client versions doing so caused a lag issue (particularly with boats).
