I think is more proper of a racing server have tournaments based on sports racing chanmpoinships where all teams or racers can compete in a race or event at same time, instead of having tournaments based on sports where only 2 teams can fight at same time, racing is not that kind of sport so that's why racing championships are made with a different setup that football or tennis or chess or any other two-teams matches sports.

well said. last time we had this format. depending of players count, maybe we take other style.

1st tourney had elimination stages each ruond players were eliminated
for example 40 ppl start
1st round 10 slowest out
30 pll in roiund 2
next 10 out
round 3, 20 ppl left
this time 5 out
round 4 15 to go
3 slowest out
12 guys left
3 slowest out
9 to go
3 out
6 in fight for top5
1 out
5 are left
each next round slowest one gets eliminated
final 1 vs 1

other option was way how i used scoring in NASCAR races
noone eliminated, winner got most points, then 2nd place, 3rd place etec less.. one who overal collected the most, won
this was very good option for players who were not able to take all runs, yet still count fight for win

We did normal championship points before, but that was my least favourite format. After a few rounds it was clear that only 3 or 4 players could win.
