thx for advices.
About Astra TwinTop, it was suggested by friend. He had one, but updated to something more powerful (He got Audi S4 now) and this car (Astra), in 1.6 or 1.8 engine version indeed had fuel consumption around 8 L. I was expecting 12-14 but tourns out it is actually lower. Also checked fuel usage ratings, and almost all are around 8L average.
People also suggest me Astra, coz it got very simple mechanics. As long as nothing fucksup with opening roof, all other is fairy simple and average cheap in service.
Car got rather positive ratings and reviews, in addition share lot of parts with normal Astra, which is kinda usual car there.
Only real downside of it, is 45 L fuel tank.
I'm checking forums and other personal reviews for this car, coz it is really intresting idea.
Cougar is only loose suggestion, but after taking closer looks I m not really so enthusiastic on it.
Alfa 159 is one of cars I always wanted to have. Only big downside is, most realible version is 1.9 diesel. I'm not so fond of diesel engines.
Alfa Romeo owners usually know what they want and can take good care. So afterall bad things, there is moslty like chance Alfa can be in best possible condition. In addition many people are 'affraid' of Alfa Romeo, so finding suitable one is very easy. Many people who want to sell it, have problem to find customers.
Dodge Avanger seems odd and bad choice, but actually isn't that far as You may expect. Parts are available, service is also not so hard. Afterall it is not a Charger, yet still feels american (cheap-made) dream. Right now it is in my 5th line of choice. Also one of best ways to try American automotive, without spending crazy money, unless got another suggestion?
Corolla and Celica - the problem is with engines. Small petrol ones are not powerful. Turbo models have expencive service. They are fine, but still placed after Dodge Avanger.
Mazda 6, nice suggestion, added to list. 1 big problem with Mazda in Poland is, they are quite 'exclusive' and not many services can do them. Parts are ironically more expencive than You could suppose. Also car is quite big (not as big as Dodge, but still odly big for non-american car) Know something similar but bit shorter? 4.5 M or less?
