[MAF]Karlis:
the main issue is that its really narrow, i like a smaller font so more text fits on screen, and then the feed is taking like 1/5th of the screen width, but images are still relatively huge and obtrusive.

[MAF]Snoopy:
As the old saying goes, if it ain't broke don't fix it.

Just a short comment on the change of layouts on popular sites: They do it partially, most of the times ignoring country borders but more like "every 10th gets the new one" and wait for feedback of the people. It's also a good way of finding bugs and such before the new design hits all the people. The "new" Facebook design has been around already for 2 months (imagine the result if ALL the people on FB or ALL the people on YT would get a new design with bugs...)

Also, changing the layout of a website like FB hasn't a lot to do with "it looks better this way" (although they try to act like it). Mostly they change it to make people focus on certain things and make them click/use certain things more or less. And it has a lot to do with placement of ads. It's a way of forming the usage of your own site while maintaining user satisfaction. It's like a walk on a high rope.

[MAF]Karlis:
true, but some things i mentioned before are not excusable by that.
and i can't tell about the ads, adblock ftw :L

[MAF]Snoopy:
I don't use adblock anymore. It slows down browsing too much, I notice a big delay in webpage loading with it on. Off is nice and fast for me.
Anyway ads don't bother me, they can be useful sometimes. I've often clicked on an ad relating to what I've been looking at and then went and bought a product.
