GTA V - Car discussion
« on: October 30, 2013, 08:42:14 am »
I would like to start a general discussion about the cars and their modifications in GTA V.

First of all, here is a complete list of the available vehicles, they will add a customization guide there soon, too.
Overview of GTA V vehicles

What came to my mind yesterday is the really aweful arrangement of customization parts on the vehicles. I tried modding some of the old cars (Tornado, Voodoo) which were Lowriders in GTA SA and now you couldn't even fix the paint, and no additional parts at all. I wonder if there even is any proper vehicle I can use the Lowrider rims on.

Then I fully modded the Elegy (sport car), which has really A LOT of parts. When I was finished, I realised it still has really shitty brakes. So after spending like 50k on the whole car, I get a sport car which is stupidly fast, but will probably be crashed the next corner it sees.

Also I fully modded the Rat-Loader (muscle car), again A LOT of parts, again spent 50k, but I got a quite slow car instead (hello? muscle car?).

Is it just me, or are the custom parts really weird distributed over the vehicles?

Also, I like to collect the best cars from every car class, so maybe we can show off our collections of our favourite cars?

Here's mine (unmodded, will add modded pictures as soon as possible):
Truck: Hauler by JoBuilt

Police: Sheriff SUV (Granger) by Declasse

Muscle: Sabre Turbo by Declasse

Offroad:Dune Buggy by BF

Sedan: Tailgater by Obey

Sports: Buffalo by Bravado

Sports: Carbonizzare by Grotti

Super: (can't decide yet, still haven't driven all)

SUV: Dubsta 2 by Benefactor

SUV: Granger by Declasse

Utility: Towtruck (small)
So, what about you? What do you think about the customization features and what are your car collections?

My favourite supercar is the Vacca. It is not the fastest car, but it handles really enjoyably. I have one in GTAO, and with turbo and ECU upgrades it can chase most cars down easily.

I was wondering: what is the best 4-door? I want to modify a 4-door so it is practical for missions online (where you generally have to drive long distances/chase down cars with many other people).

yeah, Felon, Buffalo or Tailgaiter. Buffalo is the fastest afaik.

But what about that rumor, that the Granger by Declasse can take 6 people? I've read about that quite a lot and in one mission there are really six people in the car. Would be a good car for GTO then.

Edit: Nevermind, found the proof:

Sultan is also pretty nice and has a lot of modifications :)

Some cars I recently modified:

Declasse Sabre Turbo a.k.a. "The Widowmaker"
http://rsg.ms/1atH0yU
(stupidly fast, awesome sound especially in tunnels, muscle car)

Vapid Tow Truck a.k.a. "Mad Rod"
http://rsg.ms/1hsCAMk
(nice handling with a decent speed, really useful if you want to steal some cars)

Some funny stuff that happend:

Invisable fence (didn't even appear when I was standing right in front of it):

Pink car:
This is a mini-mission where the car gets stolen and you have to return it to the owner. I was speeding along the highway in a Carbonizzare at top speed and the car pulls out on the highway, causing a crash with me. But the car made a full vertical flip around 200 meters into the sky. This was the aftermath: http://rsg.ms/1atIkBH

GTA V......... That handling. I didnt thought that  I'll someday have the misfortune to experiance a handling worst than in Need For Speed late games, well I did.

Rest In Peace, Grand Theft Auto*.  :-\

*For me GTA latest game is SA, IV was a joke, and the mascarade continues.

Agree with this. In my opinion it needs a lot more skill then compared to GTA SA to really race fast. Dodging traffic is a lot more difficult, but the cars are more predictable.

New stuff:

Found this bad boy hidden in some bushes. Gonna give it some nice rims and a nice paintjob and then this will be my favorite ride:

And while playing online, I somehow manage to copy my car and a friend of mine did this to it: http://rsg.ms/18qCYb6
