New Laptop
« on: September 26, 2013, 12:57:07 pm »
Hey guys,

Monday my laptop died, motherboard is broken, it was a Asus K52D(599 Euro's). Had it for almost 3 years.

Now today the shop called, so i would like to know what kind of laptop is comparable to my old Asus.
I liked Asus, So would like to have one again, or do you guys there are better ones with same specs/prices,
I definitly dont want Acer or HP.

I found some ones and i would like to keep the price around 600 euro's. I want to have a 15.6 Inch.

This Asus, X550CA-XX154H.

the last one is the most powerful. i think the first one is the weakest.

Do you plan to play games on it ?

If yes you have to choose a notebook with a discrete videocard.

If gaming is not you priority , the intel hd 4600 is more than enough for you.

i'd rather go with the i5 3337U ones.

Also 8 gb ram would be better than 4.

Go for the last one if you can afford it. If all you play is GTA San Andreas, you will enjoy your 100fps.

i think its bit too expensive for the specs, you pay a lot of premium for the U series processor, which is just more power efficient.
with this price you should be able to find one with dedicated video card (Nvidia or ATI/AMD, not intel HD series).
if you cant find anything like that, the last one is best of the three.

PS: the brands doesn't always matter, i've seen cheap asus which are far lower quality than acer.

that seems like a decent laptop for some light gaming

scroll down and look at the fps numbers for various games, they are not that bad and way above intel HD (even though HD can come close in some benchmarks, its known to be way slower at most games anyway).
